My association with East Mercia began in 1985 a tentative visit to a club night, I met a welcoming and friendly group of guys who were meeting because of shared interests in the leather and uniform scene, over time Rubber and Skin gear has become a big part of the club too.

I became a full member in 1986 and had the honour of being President for the 1989/1990 year.

Over the years there have been many changes to the commercial scene and with the evolvement of the Internet and the fetish related sites many clubs have already “gone to the wall”.

East Mercia – thanks to the hard work of many members has survived throughout this and by celebrating its 25th anniversary this year has shown that there is a place for a well run, friendly supportive club where guys can meet face to face and make new friends and maybe more – several long term friendships has started at an East Mercia event!!

The club has had a difficult couple of years we lost one or two key members and elements within the club took it upon there selves (for whatever reason) to try to cause trouble luckily these times are behind us now, the club nights are far more welcoming and are we are seeing more and more new guys along I’m glad to say with some of the old friends who are supporting us again.

We are planning some interesting events whilst trying to get back to the core values of the club as well I am sure 2008 will see East Mercia back at the top of the tree again, I personally am committed to the club and am looking forward to meeting friends old and new at our club nights and events.
